DSC00641Die Norweger ließen der Konkurrenz im Finale der Luftgewehr Junioren keine Chance. Gleich alle drei Medaillen konnten sie mit nach Hause nehmen. Benjamin Karlsen holte sich mit 246,2 Ringen die Goldmedaille und setzte sich vor seine Landsmänner Vegard Nordhagen mit 245,2 und Jon-Hermann Hegg mit 223,7 auf die Plätze zwei und drei. Bester Deutscher wurde Lukas Ribbe aus Hessen mit einem starken vierten Platz.

DSC00485Bei den Männern sah das ganz anders aus. Dort durften wir uns über eine deutsche Medaille freuen. Julian Justus erkämpfte sich in einem spannenden Finale die Silbermedaille mit 246,3 Rinden und verwies den Franzosen Pierre-Edmond Piasecki mit 225,1 Ringen hinter sich. Allein Naoya Okada aus Japan musste er sich geschlagen geben. Diesem reichten 247,6 Ringe im Finale für den ersten Platz und die Goldmedaille in dieser Disziplin. Bester Westfale wurde Kai Dembeck (Möhnesee) mit 618,5 Ringen im Vorkampf, die ihm den 19. Platz bescherten.

Die Frauen schossen anschließend mit der Sportpistole ihre Platzierungen aus. Auch hier dürfen wir uns über deutsches Edelmetall freuen. Marieke Lehmann (NS) sicherte sich mit 17 Treffern die Bronzemedaille und krönte so ihre starke Leistung. Den Sieg teilten sich zwei Französinnen. Camille Jedrzejewski gewann das Rennen um Gold mit 20 Treffern vor ihrer Landsfrau Annaic Donniou mit 18 Treffern.

Die Wettbewerbe im Landesleistungszentrum an der Eberstraße 30 in Dortmund gehen noch bis 25.03.2018. Alle Ergebnisse und Startlisten findet ihr hier. Der Eintritt ist an allen Tagen frei.

„That’s gonna be more than a surprise“, Daniel Brodmeier said prior to his start at the ISAS in an interview. After Rio the 30 year old from Niederlauterbach in Bavaria made a break from the shooting sport. Unfortunately an elbow-injury just before his return was a huge set back for him. But nonetheless „Brodi“ came back quite impressively with his victory in the „50m 3 pos. Rifle Men“ event. He scored 1.179 points in the first round being just one point behind the Russian Nazar Luginets. In the following finale, for which you needed to score at least 1.171 points to reach this stage, it was a close head-to-head race between these two and Denis Sokolov, who was able to claim the bronze medal for his nation. After 45 shots in the final the already mentioned surprise was perfect: Daniel Brodmeier won the competition after his break with a total score of 460,0 points, only 1 point ahead of Nazar Luginets, who scored 459,0 points and got the silver medal. During the whole 34th ISAS 2018 in the LLZ Dortmund our public relations team are not only occupied with making photographs, writing articles and keeping you on track with all the latest information. Like last year we started to do various interviews with shooters, trainers, and officials all around the ISAS. But we stepped up the quality! With more light, more preparation and even more editing we‘ll bring all the stars and contestants right into your own home!

50m-Rifle-Prone-Women

Characterized by the chages to olympic programme this years ISAS started with the newly non-olympic disciplines 50m Pistol and 50m Rifle Prone. Three competitions took place overall on the first day. The Men and Women competed each in 50m Rifle Prone, but only the men competed in 50m Pistol. In addition the first half-programmes were made in 25m Rapid Fire Pistol. Currently leading Ruslan Lunev from Azerbaijan with a score of 295 ist followed by Peter Müller from Westphalia and Alessio Torrachi from Italy achieving 284 points each.

The Women set the starting point with 50m Rifle Prone . Ayano Shimizu won the competition with a total score of 626,6 followed by the Englishwoman Lina Jones with 623,7 points and Yulia Zykova from Russia finishing with a score of 622,8. The best westphalian accomplishing 614,3 points was Veronique Münster (Enger). The 50m Pistol competition decided Oleg Omelchuk upon him with an astonishing score of 568, which even Giuseppe Giordano from Italy achieving 551 points could compete with.
